On July 8th Governor Bobby Jindal signed into law HB 715, making Louisiana the 21st state to reject the REAL ID Act. It’s strong legislation that directs the state Department of Public Safety and Corrections to NOT implement the REAL ID Act.

On May 10, 2005 Congress passed the REAL ID Act. This law imposes a national identification system on the American people for the first time. We are promised increased security in return. This is an illusion. The larger government becomes the less competent it becomes. And the more power it has, the more it abuses that power.
