Hooty, I grasp the framework of your view, but most conservatives are unprincipled and insist on legislating and enforcing personal and sexual morality, private and intimate personal choices, between oneself and one's conscience or God.Therefore, in practice, conservatives are social repressives, whatever theories they espouse.US Liberals armed & joined fight against Franco, and Mussolini and Hitler.Christian Right joined "patriotic" Nazi rallies and demonized Libs, same as today.

Calls for more 'popular democracy' rose against very REAL de facto tyranny of corporate wealth.CONGRESS was opposed to mitigation, save 1 or 2 senators who imagnined some way of resolving that conflict within the Constitution frame.Today, it's true, govt is run like a free market, with popularity contests and sales pitches replacing Law. The marketing of the "war on terror" - incl the staged 9-11 psycho-drama - is a perfect example. It made unconstitutional measures popular, by design.

When Democracy first began to come into vogue in the US -- read about this in articles about labor struggles in the 1800s -- it was conflict over EXCLUSIVE rights to property and expansion of a new form of individual/property - a Corporation, a legal chameleon. Ppl were NOT free!In legal theory, a corp was seen as a Person, but it is NOT human, NOT created by God, created by lawyers, granted special protections which surpass human rights, and carries extensive powers based on relative wealth.

"National Socialism" was little more than marketing. Nat-Soc gave power to conservative businessmen and bureaucrats.Anarchy *MEANS* peaceful co-existence without authority -- but considering crazies, that's unlikely. When ppl say "Democracy" they MEAN popular repr under a Constitution and LAW, as opposed to the power of WEALTH trumping laws. They don't mean mob rule. The US today is FAR from Democracy, it's corporate oligarchy, with certain people practically above the law.

If you want an example of the destructiveness of democracy, look no farther than revolutionary France. Minorities were sent to the guillotine at the behest of the majority. This French terror instigated by the Jacobins was democratic mob rule.

Fascists are left-wing in that they're socialists. Communists are international socialists, whereas Fascists were national socialists, i.e. the Nazis. It was probably the Communists who invented the phony paradigm of the Fascists being situated cozily on the polar right. LOL.

It's odd how all the things that lean liberal are actually the fascists, where the things that lean conservative to right are the ones that allow more freedoms in life.

The video clip below is a brief synopsis of how the United States form of government was brought to fruition by the founding fathers. In the span of about ten minutes it does a very adequate job in explaining how other forms of government come to power.

I agree with alternative market. I do believe the internet is the best source of media. Though everyone should learn every outlook, so that they can decide what is probably the truth.
