I would rather have an atheist govern my country than a cocaine-snorting, born-again human sheep. but we don't seem to have much choice, now do we? all candidates in the current election are religious, and are using the religion card to get support. its despicable. they give religion a worse name than it already has.

'atheistic chip?'-first of all, I'm not an atheist. its hard to explain what I am, so we'll just say agnostic. -second of all, religious populations having a reproductive edge may lead to an over-population problem, and a depletion of resources.-lastly, a secular, intelligent population may have better reproductive success because they would be better parents, and would provide for their children better- quality over quantity. it's like K vs. R reproductive selection, basically.

'More Christians in jail because they aren't true Christians they are just posers.'-just posers, eh? have you ever met a true christian? I think I've met 2 or 3, but that's about it. I think that if the christian community wants us to take them seriously, they need to weed out these 'posers.' unfortunately, the posers, as you call them, WAY outnumber the 'true' christians. I think that, if anything, the posers will weed out the true christians.

Most definitely he was! unfortunately religion has twisted the message to their own means. WWJD...torture and beheadings for the unbelievers! I think not but that's what religious extremists have done in centuries past. And he's right, there's no way Americans would let an atheist run for office. My minister father said to me atheist don't know right from wrong because they have no morals that are based in anything at all. He said they have basic ethics but not actual morals. Crazy huh?

Some people live in in denial, having an idealistic perception of the world. This frame of mind requires ignorance to maintain. It is a natural reaction, in this case, to become defensive when presented with the idea that forces which cannot be controlled are acting in ways which could cause one discomfort. Some of us choose to remain open to perceiving the world that surrounds us for better or worse. These people will confront fear as opposed to being narrow and dismissive.

If you don't believe in fantasies or delusions you're not fit for public office. That's just sad. There is nothing great about people believing firmly in hocus-pocus and fairy-tales. Indeed, it's just wrong.
