I wish those railing against the ID cards would put their heads together and propose alternatives so that (1) terrorists don't have access to bank accounts, airplanes, rental cars, etc., and (2) illegal immigrants are no longer able to take jobs from Americans. There's reasons Americans pushed for this ID legislation. It's not that you need this ID to get a job - you need to be a citizen or legal immigrant to get a job. The ID makes sure you are. Again, alternative suggestions would help.

I really appreciate the End Times ministry, but still have to comment about REAL ID. You already need a S.S.# to get a job legally (even legal immigrants can get a #). What's different now is that employers need to prove they did a cursory check before they hire you. And currently, illegals are not supposed to be able to open bank accounts (like the 9/11 terrorists did). Don't want REAL ID? Then we need to fight the problems caused by illegal immigration and terrorism in some other ways. |
