Some guy was trying to explain Lyndon LaRouche's concepts to me by Harvard University this past summer. Guy was a space cadet, but was a good sport while my friend and I destroyed his talking points. He eventually said we should be growing crops in the desert and spending as much money as it took to colonize Mars, simply because it was likely to be technically possible. At that point my friend told him he can't invoke Mars colonies when having a discussion about fiscal and monetery policy.
