People dying from starvation need the UN to step up and demand rich countries stop subsidising their farmers. Poor countries have enough problems without having to compete against countries who can afford to subsidise their farmers.

Idealist presentation of the bureaucratic the UN."It hasn't always worked" It's never worked, war was way less prominent before we started giving ourselves forums and global alliances.Charity works better than using a bureaucratic entity to 'support the poor and sustain peace'.UN agencies are also absurdly politicized - whether it's regarding climate change or the WHO.Malaria is still proliferating because of the ban against DDT, admittedly a carcinogen, but less deadly than the disease.
