Im not a bible thumper trust me I've never even read it, but historical evidence indicates that Jesus was a character based on a real Egyptian person who did actually live prior to the dates described in the bible. I'm not asserting he performed miracles and what not, just that writers of the old testament gave Hebrew names to Egyptian characters to make some stories suit the political goals they had at the time. It was a propaganda tool i believe.

There is little to no proof of this 'jesus' character accept for in your bible. So yes since thousands of palastinian historians never heard that the son of god was in there country, I think ill go with he was never real. Nothing but a story book character.
