A paradigm of problem-reaction-solution is currently being promoted. Yet the public are unaware of the origins. e.g. Iran is promoted as a terrorist state. Yet the CIA's involvement in the overthrow of the democratically elected government in 1954 to protect oil company interests is never openly discussed by those in power. The oppression & inequality wrought by the Shah directly lead to the "Islamic" revolution. The ordinary people of Iran want control over their own lives and freedom from government oppression much as the people of the United States. This then becomes the "problem" that the U.S. government needs to solve, and yet they created the conditions for the problem to arise in the first place.

That militant language should have been used during slavery - which proves the irony that militant "black power" movements started as the community gained more rights - not the other way around.

Which is the problem I have with racial separatist groups. Example, "the white man has oppressed us! we must resist the white man! they are the reason for our problems." The style is inherently racist. Granted, they did learn it from the slave owners. But if you take that mentality, you will never abolish that racism.

Oh, I disagree. Take Sudan for example. You have educated Sudanese "Arabs" who hate the Fur, or the native people's of Sudan and are killing them as we speak. To dismiss them as losers or "close minded" is not even understanding that racism in and of itself doesn't occur, it is used as a means of division and control.

What's really sad is that most Americans...black and white, never heard of this man (SC) I know I didn't know who he was until this year...never in school! It is too bad that there are'nt leaders like him and MLK Today. God knows the US needs them!
