Just like in the sastra it is stated that those who want to remain naked, they are punished in the next life to become tree, that "You wanted to be naked. Now you stand naked." The trees, they do not dress; neither they have the opportunity. Nobody goes to dress them. So they stand naked for so many hundreds and thousands of years. This punishment is awaiting. Human being is not supposed to be naked. That is civilization.

Prabhupada: Next step... No. Up to human form of life, by nature one is making progress automatically. One after this, one after this. That evolution.Just like from aquatics, you become trees, plants. From trees, you become insect. From insect, you become birds or reptiles. From birds, you become beast. From beast, you become a human being. This is going on by nature's way.

We may say that the body is growing, but actually, the fact is, body is changing. It is medically admitted that we are changing our body every second. We are changing our blood corpuscles, and therefore a change of the body is taking place, and that is being manifested in a different shape only. Actually, we are changing every moment our body.

Acyutananda: "When a person dies, his soul will take another body? Then why is the population today increasing?"Prabhupada: Because they are blocked-up, bottle-necked. They are not going back to home, back to Godhead. Therefore it is crowded

Regard the behaviour, look into the eyes; some are less than full, others barely more than empty.

Better yet, how does tree become human, if it only can act as a tree and tree only? By this logic the human population should decrease on each cycle, as out of whole population some certainly act as animals or trees, and as there is no way back we as humans should have perished long time ago. The philosophy is appealing for it's tendency toward respecting the nature, yet as any religion it's filled with theological axioms.

Can you explain that? How do we change bodies every second?

If all humans cease to exist what'll happen to the souls?

it really upset me all this immortality thing, however let me explain: as you know there are billions of planets and everyday billions of beings disappear on each planet. Just last week another planet was hit by a asteoroid and puff! all those beings(cats, dogs, etc and cows of course) need to be redistributed somewhere. on and on there is a long line of beings in the antimaterial universe waiting to be reincorporated. sometimes a planet gets more beings than usual. that's from where.

God can create new souls. Or bring them from other places. Look up past life regression. See some of the documented cases of children remembering past lives. |
