Stayfresh41, The problem is what they are intended for. The lids ARE NOT domed for caskets, but rather flat for stacking. It also does not explain the shear number of these being stored in areas of large cities across the U.S..

@bigkitchenjaybo They are digging up old burial sites and placing older caskets within these vaults. They protect the casket and the deceased as well as protect the ground from any sort of contamination that may leak from the casket. Georgia had a big drought issue and we would both agree that contaminants were best left out of the ground water for any nearby wells or pumps.
