For those who feel inspired to turn off the news and read: I recommend an online subscription to Foreign Policy. It's about as close as you can get to finding out wnat's really going on in the world. You don't have to read everything, but read one or two articles every time, use a dictionary if it feels difficult, and then be inspired to search out more info on the subject of the articles that really grab you. Educate yourself!
