My comment on part 1 was a bit permature. All religions prohibit the charging of interest on money loaned because it puts and extra burden on the borrower. If the people own the money and a borrower can't repay because of illness or death or lose of a job, shouldn't the people for give his debt? There was a time when people did not borrow money.
