His greatest nistake was pissing off Edison. T.A.Edison hated and envied Tesla and hell hunted him over Tesla's correct surmise that AC was the way to go as far as power transmission over distance. If you really want your hair to curl, look at the slanders and hype T.A.E. flung at Tesla.

Here in Holland was a amatur inventor, a guy named Jan Sloot. He invented a new source-code for computers that would dazzle the IT-industry. The day before he would sign a billion dollar contract, he died and all is research vanished.I'm sure that modern day scientists, who invent something brainboggling, are either murdered, or they end up working for some sort of illuster government...

Well my statement of "humanity is to flawed to see past it's own front door" WAS A METAPHOR,for the fact that people can't see past themselves, their greed,& their wealth,so u were just repeating my sentiment;not sure if u got the connection??Anyway my response was to "highintel" & his post below which makes total sense,so if u read that it may help u void this question!!As fas as Tesla working for free enerdy it's a GREAT IDEA,that would've benefited EVERYONE!!Not everything needs be EXPLOITED-

Most of humanity is too flawed to see past it's own greed and bank account. Tesla wanted to give the world free energy - how can people make money out of that?

Very good logic & reasoning in that thought:)It's certainly more reasonable & sensible that those who harness & combine their energy, brain power, humanity,& resources will go the farthest in unlocking the world's mysteries....Very cool, too bad humanity is too flawed to see past it's own front door-

Yupp, no doubt. Ironicly he would have gotten a lot more done if alive today. (If he would have had "free will" regarding to his research that is..). Suppose same thing would applied to Einstein, Euler, Newton etc aswell..But a brilliant man indeed. One thing that stuck with me in his autobiography was his comment on his (!)earth parents.

I had read about the Tunguska incident and Tesla's ray but didn'r realize both had a "COINCIDENCE" to one another until looking more into Tesla's work....really deep stuff...that guy was beyond his time by centuries....
