@hackit12 lol You're digging deep into these comments here hacket! Not a very good forum tool, but ...I'm aware of the surplus issue the Clinton left, and Fahrenheit 9/11 makes me want to put up Bush/Cheyney on charges of high treason. But I'm not a democrat either. I'm what I call a "progressive libertarian"... free markets for common people, social welfare via direct-subsidies (like food stamps, medicare and tuition vouchers)... Just sayinI'm with you though.

...OOOps - it has not trickled down- as promised ! Workers can not keep up with inflation yet the wealthiest have increased their income 600+%. Multi-national corps. have exported jobs and whole industries.RE-instate some of that tax again- it is how America has financed every other war- !Bush/Reagan bankrupted the country. ...To distract from the failures in Afghanistan - and they kept the -'terror alerts'- high to get re-selected.In the early 1980s Reagan/Greenspan promoted the supply-side economic policy Reduced taxes over 3 M$ from 70 to 28%. Deregulated Wall St. and sid they would regulate themselves, LOL !cont.

Connecting the dots ...Google_ Taliban+bin Laden+BushBush rejects Taliban offer to surrender bin Laden ....Bush went to war on the Taliban, did not get bin Laden.2003 Gave another tax break for the wealthy [on dividends, stock options, etc.]While planning and promoting the 2nd unnecessary War in Iraq [again not one job in the US] and no corresponding budget cuts. Another multi-Trillion dollar War - and no corresponding budget cuts.cont.

@etzel33 -'if this guy had said something 10 years ago. '-Yo ... again.Ten year ago Al Gore ran - on the concept of -'lock -box'- ... to save the 1/2 T$ surplus from the Clinton years. But the Sup. Crt. gave US - Bush and he gave -'the lock-box'- predominately to the wealthy disguised as a -'job program'- with no obligation to hire one person in this country.Connecting the dots ...cont.

Corporations still -- kill, discriminate and harm people, and want -continuing immunity- [Coal mining and oil leak]- e.g. Rand Paul defending BP, to opportunistically slamming the pres.; but he did show US, his corporatist preference over individuals - and the environment, and possible continued health issues for years, maybe decades.Conservatives/libertarians are still pandering to them; and distort it with theoretical nonsense- And naive bumper-sticker illogic.take care

etzel33 -'the other being social welfare, where I disagree with conservatives in principle'-- Thank youI do not think there has been a sincere, compassionate Repb. since D. Eisenhower.Reagan read a good speech; but since him it has been full-speed for corporations and especially the military defense contractors - as G.W. Bush called then -'his base'-.Empty Rhetoric about middle class and -'real Americans'-- but they deliver nothing !Cont. |
