Look up "mimetic arrogance" to understand more about respectable scholars. If you want to find out more about our potential immediate future please study what is going on in Spain right now, after Zapatero failed to keep some of his promises. Mariano Rajoy an advocate of individual rights and liberty is expected to be the next President of Govt. in Spain.

When it became apparent that trains may travel in excess of 30 miles/hour, respectable scholars opined that humans would suffocate at that speed. Apparently, they never experienced wind. Some people look backward, others live on.

Its sad that when this man speaks the media uses childish antics to make him look bad on stage. Its ridiculous.. I would love to see this man run the USA and restore the peoples rights. No im not American but these issues greatly involve the world and my counrty.

"They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."-- Benjamin Franklin, Historical Review of Pennsylvania, 1759."No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government"-- Thomas Jefferson, 1 Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

the 2nd amendment isnt for sporting reason or hunting... its a last plan of action against a tyrannical government... Gun related crimes are not committed by law abiding citizens but criminals...who can get the weapons anyways... they dont care about gun restrictions.
sportsstar69 (July 20, 2008 at 12:10 am)
A few of them are OK, but most should go..you don't need things like semi-automatic weapons to hunt..All the sophisticated weaponry should go to the scrap heap |
