Congressman Ron Paul lectures Bernanke on the flaws of the bailout plan and the hazard of the attempt to fix prices versus letting them correct naturally in the free market at the Congressional Hearing today (9/24/08). Ron also questions Bernanke's authority and constitutionality of using the printing press to generate all this extra money needed for the bailout.Use www.votesmart.org to tell your representatives you don't want this plan.

No other country had 4 million slaves held by racists who would rather secede and lose 260,000 young men than consider abolition. And Russert asked only whether it was true that "Lincoln should never have gone to war." If Lincoln hadn't gone to war, the South would still be a separate nation, and slavery and segregation would have continued for decades, if not centuries. It's sick.

yeah well he also noted that this process worked in every other developed nation that had slaves. Also he was actually just responding to a question of whether the civil war could have been avoided or not. He was trying to explain his view of the constitution. Don't try to spin this around or else get your facts straight.

He went on Meet the Press and said America was wrong to free the slaves without paying slaveholders with taxpayer money. That precludes both the Emancipation Proclamation and 13th Amendment. It also conveniently ignores the fact that slaveholders would not have accepted ANY amount of money in 1861, or for decades thereafter.

I responded, but you have me blocked. Basically, PolitiFact just copied from the St. Petersburg Times, which had its facts wrong. The MLK holiday passed in 1983, with Paul voting No. It was also considered in 1979, and Paul voted to MOVE the proposed holiday to Monday, but voted against the holiday itself. Voting to MOVE a holiday is miles and miles away from voting for it, obviously. Paul has never once claimed to have voted for the MLK holiday. Instead, he's bragged about voting against it.

And I responded, but you've blocked me.

I couldnt find anything about him opposing the 13th amendment. He accepts all contributions but that doesn't mean he accepts their views. I looked at the newsletter and I'm not sure if its the right one, but it doesn't look racist at all. Could you link me to it? And I couldnt fid anything on google about him opposing the 13th amendment or the emancipation proclamation.

I found an article on PolitiFactDOTcom that says he did vote for the MLK holiday. The specific article wa criticizing him too because he doesn't usually vote for anything that isn't "expressly authorized" by the Constitution. I sent you the link in a message.
OnIineWarrior (December 31, 1969 at 11:59 pm)
Could you tell me where you found all of this information? It doesn't sound like Ron Paul at all. If you've seen him speak and have read a lot of his articles then you'll understand why I doubt that he is racist.
RonPaulHatesBlacks (December 31, 1969 at 11:59 pm)
I have looked it up. He voted against the MLK holiday. There was only one reason why anyone in Congress voted against that. It's the reason John McCain apologizes for that vote to this day. And he opposes the Emancipation Proclamation, 13th Amendment, 1964 Civil Rights Act, and Voting Rights Act, too. He's been endorsed by and accepts contributions from Stormfront, had KKK members on his campaign, and made $940,000 a year on a sick, racist newsletter written by him and Lew Rockwell.

The "bailout" was to hand over 700 billion dollars to a few crooks after they intentionally drove their banking firms into the ground. In case you haven't noticed jerkoff the economy has gotten much worse since the sellout and shows no sign of getting better any time soon. What these criminals have done translates into a skyrocketing deficit, a devaluation of the currency, inflation, plummeting consumer spending, and higher unemployment. It's really just a final fuck you to the American people.
