One of the more insightful comments that got my attention is when Billy Corgan spoke about how people put up a defense system when they hear somebody report news that is “over the top” to them. It’s just too difficult to accept so they instead reject both the message and the messenger. Isn’t that basically when people do when they label something a “conspiracy theory”?
